When it comes to professional wrestling, it happens numerous times when people from outside the industry seem to disrespect the business without any deep understanding of how it works. Even today, things have not changed much as recently, an Irish comedian tried to bash pro wrestling during his interview. However, ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch was up there to tackle it with all professionalism.
Becky Lynch defended professional wrestling with pride
The popular Irish chat show named The Tommy Tiernan Show invited Lynch to be a part of it. As soon as the conversation between the host and the star started, it seemed that Tierman came with the objective of criticizing professional wrestling. But to defend the wrestling industry, we had Big Time Becks who talked about the business with all pride.

At first, the host stated the performances of professional wrestling as something “very obvious.” To get more clarity on this statement, the ‘Irish Lass Kicker’ asked if he means the obvious storytelling. Tommy Tiernan then put forward another bold statement that indicated that there’s no nuance in professional wrestling.
Listening to this, furious Lynch responded in a blink of an eye. She said, “Oh, there’s so much nuance. I mean, sure, well, you wouldn’t be on wrestling Twitter, they’re really into the nuances. But there is when it’s done well.”

She then explains the entire process of a wrestler’s hectic job at length. ‘The Man’ described how fans do not remember the moves but the feeling they experience during that moment. And in order to make them feel great, a wrestler puts his life at stake while managing cameras and delivering perfect storytelling. Lynch ends his explanation with a concluding statement saying, “That is a spectacular art.”
After this, the host understood how much effort it takes to present an engaging storyline. Not only did the host understand, but fans around the globe appreciated the professionalism with which Lynch defended the industry.
Fans appreciated The Man for professionally tackling the disrespect of the WWE
As soon as the WWE Universe got a glance at the former WWE Triple Crown Champion’s episode from the chat show, they were delighted. And to acknowledge and appreciate it, they expressed their views on Twitter. Almost all the tweets were a compliment for the RAW superstar and criticism towards the Irish host.
Tommy disrespected Becky Lynch big time. Her whole art is improv he tried it once failed and had a nervous breakdown. He was brutally condesending. #TommyTiernanShow

They understood how the Irish comedian tried to disrespect her but The Man stood firm and handled it like a pro.
One of the biggest stars they’ve ever been lucky enough to have on #TommyTiernanShow and I cringed the whole way through the interview the way Tommy handled it.

Fans also mentioned how people might now forget her journey from just another wrestler on the roster to Big Time Becks. She was the biggest name on the roster not so long ago.
Bit dismissive from Tommy. I don’t think people have an idea of just how huge Becky Lynch was at the end of 2018 and the start of 2019. She was the biggest star on the roster both male and female, which was a huge deal for a female wrestler. #tommytiernanshow
