Becky Lynch Pays Tribute to Her Favorite Band Pearl Jam on WWE Raw

On Monday Night Raw: December 13th, 2021, WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch did a segment where she called out the WWE Universe. However, while doing so, she referenced her favourite band – Pearl Jam.

Her segment called out the hypocrisy of the WWE Universe where they wanted her back but now had opinions about how she was doing her job. Moreover, they had an opinion even though they had never stepped in the ring.

While calling them out, she spoke about the importance of evolution and referenced Pearl Jam’s pop song Do The Evolution. The band released the song in 1998 in the album, Yield.

“You’ve never stepped foot in this ring. You’ve never changed the game. Never broke down gender barriers, the biggest thing in this industry. You never left at the height of your career and came back better than ever. Never had to evolve. Because here, it’s evolution, baby! And if you don’t evolve, you get left behind.”

Some of her favourite tracks by Pearl Jam are, ‘Just Breathe’ and ‘Guaranteed’. Her love for Pearl Jam is widely known among her fans and one of them even gifted her a Pearl Jam Box Set making her extremely emotional.

Apart from that, she even wore Pearl Jam inspired jackets to live shows as well!

Becky Lynch truly evolved into a new character upon WWE return

Before ‘The Man’ left WWE because of her pregnancy, she was different. She had her fans in her mind at all times, she was abiding by rules, and wasn’t focus solely on herself.

However, after she returned, she only focused on one thing – her rise to the top. She doesn’t care how she’s winning, as long as she’s winning. Additionally, she has called out the WWE Universe on more than one occasion, and revealed that she isn’t fighting for herself anymore but for her family too. Therefore, her ways will be different and vicious!

Her segment on WWE Raw: December 13th, 2021 was based on the same. She had secured a victory over Morgan on the previous show, but had cheated. On this show, she told off the fans by claiming that she will do her job how she wants to do it.
