Becky Lynch‘s contract situation has surely caught the attention of wrestling fans. At the time of writing, the professional wrestler has not signed her renewal with WWE, and theories regarding her future are flooding social media.

Although nothing is said until the end of her deal on June 1, the seven-time women’s champion could open the doors to other options after eleven years of committing to the Stamford-based promotion. In fact, she might already have an opponent in mind in case she decides to jump ships. But who is the opponent? Well, it might be none other than Mercedes Mone. Currently, it is being said that WWE and Lynch are holding talks to reach an agreement before the weekend. But it is a possibility that ‘The Man’ might decide not to continue with the WWE. And this is further fueling the rumor that Lynch might be planning to go to All Elite Wrestling. This would mean that there she would be meeting one of the four horsewomen that she shared the ring with, Mercedes Mone.

Aaccording to Sean Ross Sapp in the latest edition of the Fightful Wrestling Podcast, Lynch might be aiming to fight Mone at Wembley. And that the WWE missed a major opportunity by not making the four horsewomen fight at the grandest stage of all, WrestleMania.

Sapp said, “You know, I really think they missed the boat on the four horsewoman main event at Mania not doing that but you can’t do that. That’s another thing. Maybe, maybe she would want to work Wembley. Maybe she would want to do that, whether it be a long-term thing or just checking it off. Her and Mercedes would have a killer match.” Well, this surely would be a match that the fans would love to see. And it might come to fruition, as a recent move by the WWE proves that Lynch might actually leave the promotion soon.

WWE removes The Man’s trademark

On May 24, after several legal discussions with a wrestler from the independent scene, WWE gave in to the abandonment of the ‘Big Time Becks’ trademark at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Worker James K. Duck had filed a similar trademark shortly before the company filed its registration in early April.

Becky Lynch used the nickname ‘Big Time Becks’ during her time as a heel. The superstar replaced the famed alias, The Man with this unfamiliar expression between 2021 and 2022. Lynch would continue to use this phrase in several promos after the aforementioned years. In fact, it was even being kept in her graphics and merchandizing.
