Over the years in WWE, we have seen many superstars have a downfall in their career after suffering an injury. But can an injury also make you one of the most successful wrestlers in WWE? Well, this sounds weird, right? If anyone would have said this line three years back, we would never believe that person. But now, there is a reason to believe this following the iconic nose-breaking moment involving Becky Lynch just before the 2018 Survivor Series PPV.

Lynch was the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion back then. During one episode before the Survivor Series PPV, Becky Lynch and the other women wrestlers of SmackDown attacked Ronda Rousey and all the other women on the Raw roster. First, Lynch took out Rousey backstage and then led the charge inside the ring. Unfortunately for Lynch, she got her nose broken following a punch on her face from Nia Jax.

Recently, in an interview, Becky Lynch spoke to Vicente Beltran about being removed from her match with Ronda Rousey at the Survivor Series PPV because of her broken nose. Lynch admitted after breaking her nose she thought it would be the end of her push from WWE.

She said (h/t: Sportskeeda), “I suppose by being diligent, by being consistent. So, at the time, I had no idea what was going on. I thought this was it. This was over, but then all the other pictures came out, and it looked pretty freakin’ cool.”

“And then people got more interested in it, and I was like, okay, well we’re on to something and so then just kept going kept trying to ride that momentum until WrestleMania,” Lynch added.
