Dragging family members of the superstars in between any feud is not something new in WWE. But Hall of Famer Goldberg took it to another level when unwillingly brought up his 15-year-old son Gage amid his grudge settlement with The Almighty at SummerSlam 2021. His family, especially his son, seemed to be equally defensive about him when he dared to attract Bobby Lashley’s wrath at the infamous showdown in order to safeguard his dad.

Now, a couple of years later, netizens saw Goldberg come up with a sly threat to his old foe, Lashley, as the incident resurfaced on the internet.

Goldberg sent a chilling threat to Bobby Lashley years after the latter mashed his son at a grudge match

Goldberg’s fight for WWE Championship at the 2021 SummerSlam met with a sudden disruption when Lashley injured his opponent’s knee. It turned out so severe that the match had to be called off. But Lashley was far from being done with his rage and continued to assault Goldberg.

It saw his teenage son putting on a desperate attempt to stop an enraged Lashley. But, what happened right after was outright frightening. Lashley took a turn and put Gage in a deadly Hurt Lock without realizing who he was.

The moment was so enthralling and surprising that WWE couldn’t get enough of it. Recently, they posted the old clip of Lashley taking down Gage furiously. The caption reads, ‘Gage Goldberg felt the wrath of “The All Mighty” @bobbylashley in a SHOCKING #SummerSlam Moment from 2021 😳’

It prompted Goldberg to deliver a gentle warning to the culprit of the match and WWE as well. He wrote in the comments, ”If you remember correctly, I got the last laugh. And be careful what you wish for a Gage ain’t no a little kid anymore.”

Well, Goldberg indeed had the last laugh while evened the score shortly after, at WWE Crown Jewel.

Bobby Lashley had to pay for his deed in a brutal way

Goldberg couldn’t let the attack on his beloved son slide without retaliating. Although Lashley already dropped the coveted WWE Championship earlier, Goldberg looked to make him pay in a more grievous way. He, in fact, wanted to ‘kill’ Lashley for getting his hands on his teenage son.

The ‘No Holds Barred’ grudge match at Crown Jewel came as a perfect opportunity for him. He readily took the match in his favor and delivered a host of spears to bury the opponent. While Lashley equally showed dominance with a bigger physique and giant-like strength, it was Goldberg’s vengefulness that earned him the win at the end.

Now, we need to see if the former rivals rekindle their old saga anytime soon or not, as Goldberg has expressed his wish for a retirement match many times.
