WWE Raw Women’s Championship has been officially retired. We can’t think of retirement without some heartfelt farewell. Can we? Be it a human or a title, the emotions run the same. The retreating title gifted a lot of unforgettable memories to the superstars over the past few years. The belt deserves a shout-out for everything it brought to the table.

The championship’s existence dates back to 2016 when it replaced the WWE Divas Championship. Following the brand split in July of the same year, it was renamed the Raw Woman’s Championship and would headline the first post-brand extension edition of Raw. After reigning for 7 long years, WWE decided to expel it by bringing a new title to the mix during this past week’s Friday Night SmackDown. Former woman’s champion Bayley can’t help going down the memory line, bidding that old belt an emotional goodbye.

At the Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia last month, Asuka beat Bianca Belair to attain the Raw Woman’s Champions title. But prior to that, the EST of WWE held the prestigious title for 400 days. She received multiple threats from Bayley ever since her reign started, but every time Belair retained her title, nevertheless. One of those title-threat matches took place during the Last Woman Standing Match, at Crown Jewel 2022.

A fan posted a clip of that epic title fight between two old rivals on Twitter, making two participants nostalgic to the core.

Bayley, who last held the title in 2017, retweets the post with the caption ”Goodbye to the #RAW Women’s title. Thanks for the special moments, this being one of MANY.”

Shortly after, Bayley’s tweet prompted Belair to express her feelings as well. The EST responds to the Damage CTRL’s leader’s post with ample praise. The 34-year-old wrote, ”One of my absolute favs!!!!!!! Whew I love this match. Despite the difference we had, we made a lot of history together. Thank you for the fights and memories, especially during this title reign. … respect to one of the greatest in this business!”

Despite relishing the past victories and failures, Bayley has her eyes fixed on her next big target.

WWE held four qualifying matches for the upcoming Money in The Bank, including two women’s matches. The matches featured Bayley vs Michin and Shotzi vs IYO SKY. The Role Model succeeded in securing her place on the card, taking down Michin at the past week’s action-packed SmackDown. However, she wasn’t done yet and ended up interfering in IYO’s match, helping her to pick up the win as well, increasing the weight of Damage CTRL for MITB.

On the other hand, Belair is probably on the verge of making the rumor of her potential heel turn accurate. She was seemingly mad about WWE snubbing her from a new WWE Championship rematch and granting Charlotte Flair a chance to trade in her shot instead at the June 30 episode of SmackDown night before Money in The Bank in London.

Now, we need to see how Bianca and Bayley both will proceed with their run further.
