Bray Wyatt has gone under the dark once and for all. While the grieving process took center stage in the wrestling realm, the WWE Universe also outlined their desire to celebrate the life of Wyatt and his creations. Reading on their core, Triple H took a landmark decision of bringing back Wyatt’s brother Bo Dallas to the foray in the same Uncle Howdy avatar. The WWE Universe soon got engulfed in Howdy’s spell as QR code glitches signaling his arrival came to light. Finally, the story came full circle with Howdy’s surreal homecoming segment on Raw. The episode went down in history, but some veteran female wrestlers still couldn’t get over it.

On the June 17th edition of the Red brand, Uncle Howdy made a rowdy-like debut alongside his troops. As warned earlier, the Wyatt Sicks made good on their promise as they weaved a beautiful but bloody symphony of violence. As the light went dim, the ruthless sight of the fallen bodies took the soul out of the viewers. The segment drawing its inferences from cinema bid a temporary goodbye with a signature ‘We are here’ cry. Mesmerized by the tribute, Bray Wyatt’s sister Mika Rotunda penned a heart-touching note on Instagram. She highlighted how gracefully Bo Dallas is carrying the torch of his late brother.

She penned a long letter addressing her deceased brother and how he would draw from his real-life inferences to carve out truly unique experiences for the WWE Universe. Mika Rotunda said, “Windham talked a lot about hurting in his character. He would describe real life pain and scenarios as a way to kind of harden, inspire or shape his future. He turned pain into a positive, through creativity and expression. And as we embrace the moments of sorrow, there is a duty to uphold. To keep finding ways to express his madness and genius.

She then turned her attention to Taylor Rotunda, who dons the role of Uncle Howdy and paid tribute to his efforts to celebrate Wyatt and his creations.“Last night, Taylor debuted for the first time as Uncle Howdy, without Windham. This was their dream, their vision. I am so incredibly proud of Taylor. In doing so, it is a testament from our family about the depth of his love. And our love for him”, she said. The post saw a lot of appreciation coming from the WWE locker room. Starting from Nia Jax, former Damage CTRL leader Bayley, Natalya, etc flocked to the comments to express their support for this wholesome post. “We love you, Mika. So proud of both you and Taylor,” wrote Bayley while Nia Jax expressed her elation with a few red heart emojis.

Even before the quality debut of the year, doubts regarding their chance of sustaining a successful impact had emerged. These involve a set of reasons. Firstly, the prolonged period of wait has been largely seen as a potential factor contributing to fans’ reduced interest in the entire storyline. Secondly, the bitter memory of Bray Wyatt’s similar 2022 return and subsequent run created a dread of a similar lackluster outcome.

Vince Russo added some more reasons to hold off on having grand expectations from the new faction. He noted their Viking lifestyle, a larger-than-life aura, might not fit well in the real-life squared circle. Only time will reveal the destiny, regardless. What’s your take on Nia Jax and Bayley’s Uncle Howdy affinity? Let us know in the comments.
