No one doubts the quality and talent that Bayley has, and proof of this is the great run that the wrestler is going through. She has reached over 100 days as the WWE Women’s Champion. A title she won at WrestleMania. A storyline worth remembering as she defeated her former Damage CTRL partner Iyo Sky at WWE’s quintessential WrestleMania on April 7th. As for her next challenge, Bayley is now set to defend her belt on the night of August 3 as part of the SummerSlam 2024 card against Nia Jax.

The winner of this year’s Queen of the Ring tournament has set her sights on the title. What would make it more special is the fact that this year’s edition will be the first for Nia Jax. Where she will try to be crowned WWE Women’s Champion. The feud between the two superstars has been boiling for quite a while. But things got more intense this Friday when Bayley had a confrontation with Nia Jax in a split-screen segment. This led to a promo battle where lines were crossed. One such part of the segment pissed off a WWE veteran, as he called out Bayley for her statements.

The build-up to SummerSlam 2024 continued on SmackDown, with Nia Jax and Bayley involved in a split-screen promotional segment. The Women’s champion accused Jax of being clumsy and reckless inside the ring. Since becoming a force to be reckoned with in WWE, Nia Jax has faced criticism online for being a dangerous worker. Several stars, including Bayley, have been the target of the Samoan star’s unnecessarily hard punches, and she’s earned an unwanted reputation for being insecure in the ring. At least that’s what many on the internet think.

However, on the Busted Open Podcast, Mark Henry revealed that he believes Bayley shouldn’t have brought the claims to the forefront as this was just the internet’s opinion back then and that Jax has improved in the ring now since her return.

The former WWE star said, “I think that you should tell the truth. You know, like, they said that Nia was dangerous or reckless that she jumped on people too heavy that she punched Becky and Lynch in the face. There’s other things that she done that was reckless. To make reference to something that was a reality almost, I feel like kind of sucks. Just like LA Knight being put on the spot by Paul about not having a career-defining moment. It was real, and it’s hard to get out of stuff like that.”

What’s your perspective on:

Did Bayley cross the line with her comment on Nia Jax, or is it just hype?

He further added, “Nia has gotten so much better, like, you know, she looks better. She wrestles better; she’s better on the microphone. Like she fixed a lot of weaknesses in her time off. So like, visibly, you can’t keep bringing up the past because it don’t apply to now. And that’s what I figured that Nia should have went with her. You know Bailey is better than that. She’s above that, and I think that the match is going to be spectacular because Bailey is just that damn good. And there’s so much that Nia can do now that she’s turned the corner.” However, it wasn’t just Bayley who took a personal jibe. Nia Jax, who often talks about body positivity, took a shot at Bayley’s body in front of the massive SmackDown crowd.

Nia Jax body shames Bayley

During the constant verbal jibes the two superstars were taking at one another, many believe Jax took things way too far. She accused Bayley of getting a BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift) surgery due to the size of her buttocks. This surely took everyone by surprise. Since Nia Jax is one of the most vocal superstars out there who advocates body positivity. Especially when she has been constantly bullied online due to her size.

However, Jax did realize her mistake and went into full Damage Control mode (you see what I did there?). She clarified that she did not mean to body shame the women’s champion. In a recent podcast appearance, she said, “I was just saying the obvious. I just kind of thought of it because Bayley and I have such a history, going way back into NXT. It’s been a solid decade of me and Bayley. We’ve never been able on the main roster to have a real good interaction of promo and storytelling. When we got in there and she brought up the injuring and all this stuff, it just hit me.”

She continued, “And I was literally saying the obvious—what everybody has known for her to have. I have known Bayley long to know that is an all-natural, beautiful Brazilian booty, Latina [laughs]. But knowing her for as long as I have and seeing her character develop, I think she’s been more embracing of her God-given talents. So I just stated the obvious.” Well, while they two feuds on screen, hopefully, things did not get ugly backstage due to the verbal jibes they took. However, this segment surely proves that the WWE is getting more serious with its promos. Breaking away from their PG stance like Triple H claimed they would. What do you think? Did Jax and Bayley cross the line? Let us know in the comments.
