The much-awaited WWE return comes to fruition

Roman Reigns made his sensational return to SummerSlam in 2024, after about four months of absence from WWE. The Tribal Chief had been missing since the resounding defeat of WrestleMania XL, when he lost his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship (after 1316 days) to The American Nightmare. It was a match with a Bloodline Rules stipulation. Anyone could intervene, and so it happened. First, it was Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, who attacked Cody Rhodes. Kevin Owens and Randy Orton made the save and took the bad boys out of the crowd. Jacob Fatu was the next to appear to attack Rhodes and crush him at the commentary table.

Jacob Fatu was injured by the attack and Solo Sikoa sought victory without success. At that moment, Roman Reigns’ theme song made the entire Cleveland audience rise. The Tribal Chief made his appearance, came to the ring, and hit the Superman Punch on Solo Sikoa. Cody Rhodes was shocked as Reigns walked out of the ring. Rhodes took the opportunity to apply the Cross Rhodes and take the victory by the count of three. This surely would’ve pissed off Sikoa who would now address and possibly have a confrontation with Reigns at the upcoming edition of SmackDown.
