The last few weeks have been rough for Dwayne Johnson. He recently confirmed that he won’t be part of DC’s immediate future as Black Adam and has been involved in a tangle with WB executives over his Black Adam box office numbers.
But The People’s Champion had something to celebrate during this tough period.

Morning Consult conducted a survey among Gen Z and asked them to vote on their favorite content creators and actors. Out of a list of 35 actors, The Rock beat some really big Hollywood names to emerge as Gen Z’s favorite actor.
The former WWE champion later thanked the young fans and expressed his delight at topping the list on Twitter.
Dwayne Johnson is the flavor of Gen Z
Although Black Adam didn’t bear the fruits The Rock expected, it still earned him more fame among the younger audience.
Morning Consult’s survey included Americans in the age group of 13-25 who were asked to vote for their favorite actors and content creators. DJ beat out competition from big names such as Robert Downey Jr. and Johnny Depp, to be crowned as the most popular actor among Gen Z.

The Rock gained the highest net favorability rating of 65 to top the list. Tom Holland of Spiderman fame landed the second spot, followed by Johnny Depp at number three.
The list also included more top names like Emma Watson, Chris Hemsworth, and Scarlett Johansson, who rounded off the top 10.
Afterward, The Great One took to Twitter to thank his young fans and expressed his gratitude. The Brahma Bull tweeted, “Thx u Gen Z for choosing this Gen X big, brown, bald, tattooed, fanny pack man as your #1.”

Apart from this YouTuber, Mr. Beast bagged the top honor in the content creators list. Gen Z today holds a lot of power as they arguably spend the most time on screens and want to be entertained throughout.
They are up-to-date with all the latest trends and have a big say on which star they want to see more of. As such, despite his Black Adam setback and rift with Warner Bros. The Rock still enjoys huge popularity among the youth.

His constant presence on social media where he posts motivational and inspirational videos and his humble nature towards his fans, whom he always mentions, could be a big factor in his rising popularity among Gen Z and this poll win.
