Friday Night SmackDown was just as exciting as John Cena predicted on Twitter, but AJ Styles would beg to differ. Styles was ambushed backstage by Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa while he was making an entrance to the ring. As Styles was immediately rushed to the hospital, fans speculated that LA Knight would turn up to help Cena with The Bloodline.
But a major health issue kept Knight altogether away from SmackDown, so much that he had to leave the building asap.

What was supposed to be a routine contract signing turned out into a full blown ambush on AJ Styles. Styles was just about to enter the ring when Jimmy Uso attacked him back stage. If that was not enough, ‘The Enforcer’ Solo Sikoa jumped on him from a height of 15 feet sending him straight to the hospital.
As fans watched in disarray, some speculated the interference of LA Knight in The Bloodline feud. But sadly LA Knight was not even in the building when the vicious attack happened on AJ Styles. The reason being that Knight tested positive for Covid just before the start of SmackDown.
Fightful has confirmed with WWE sources and those to him that LA Knight tested positive for COVID just before WWE Smackdown, and had to leave the building.

Fightful.com confirmed that LA Knight tested positive for COVID and had to leave the building. It’s unclear whether he was in contact with any other wrestlers backstage. This might further lead to the absence of a few more stars from SmackDown in the coming week.
LA Knight fans were deeply disappointed as this will further delay any plans of him getting involved in a high-profile feud with The Bloodline or even getting a title shot against ‘The Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns.
LA Knight was listed as being involved in tonight’s contract signing with John Cena
So LA Knight was supposed to make an appearance right after the backstage assault of AJ Styles and then assist John Cena. Thus getting him involved in a feud with The Bloodline aka Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso.

This was reported earlier by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com on Twitter. He said, “Originally, LA Knight was listed as being involved in tonight’s contract signing. Knight was listed as a surprise to help John Cena. He was also internally listed as teaming with Cena in a dark match following the show. We’re told this was not a Vince McMahon change, it was medical related”.

Post the ambush, fans took to Twitter to suggest Knight as the replacement for Styles at Fastlane. But that doesn’t seem to be a possibility as Knight will be out of action for a minimum 2 weeks. We wish LA Knight a speedy recovery and hope he returns to SmackDown soon.
