Visual Concepts developed and 2K published this enduringly popular wrestling video game. It’s the 9th installment of the WWE 2K series, since its inception with WWE 2K14 in 2013. This year, WWE 2K23 continues to captivate gamers even seven months after its launch.

Recognizing the immense enthusiasm for the game, WWE has now introduced a special edition featuring Bad Bunny as a playable character. This special edition boasts a vast roster of stars from both the main WWE roster and NXT. 

The latest Bad Bunny DLC character is now accessible with the WWE 2K23 Bad Bunny Edition, available currently for $139.99. As a standalone Bad Bunny Superstar Pack is priced at just $9.99. The announcement of Bad Bunny’s inclusion was made by Triple H, WWE’s Chief Content Officer. He took to Twitter and unveiled a striking poster of the pop star.

The WWE 2K series which has drawn its roots from the first of its kind ‘WWF SmackDown!’ in 2000, has been a staple in the world of wrestling video games. It has evolved into an annual release, rebranding the series as WWE 2K in 2013. Bad Bunny’s WWE character features his attire from his street fight against Damian Priest at Backlash in Puerto Rico.

At Backlash, the Grammy-winning artist delivered a spectacular performance in a chaotic San Juan street match against Damian Priest. The global music icon, exceeded expectations in his debut singles match, with Priest ensuring his protection and superstar status. The match took place on 6th May 2023.

The match was further enhanced by surprise appearances from local legends Carlito and Savio Vega, eliciting massive crowd reactions in San Juan, Puerto Rico. While Bunny vs. Priest stole the show, others too had a memorable bout. 

What’s remarkable is that this emerging talent, with little experience under their belt, captivated the audience with their extraordinary performance. Bad Bunny’s WWE debut not only wowed fans but also made a significant mark in wrestling history.
