Toward the closing stages of the match, fans would see The Rock return to help Roman Reigns win the Royal Rumble match. While The Authority tried to ensure Reigns lost, The Rock had other plans. Speaking on the latest episode of WWE Legends, Reigns however might have dropped a hint of betrayal.

Around a decade ago, fans saw Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson return in Philadelphia and help Reigns secure his first Royal Rumble victory, and close the show by raising his arm. However, while speaking on the episode, Reigns hinted a sense of betrayal.

Despite Johnson doing the job and weakening Cody Rhodes ahead of their WrestleMania XL bout, there has been a rising sense of tension between them. Speaking on the documentary, Reigns said, “There’s only one positive and that’s the fact that it’s gonna be able to tie all the way back around at WrestleMania 40. I was tunnel visioned and groomed to reach a point like this.”

He further stated how he tries to forget that moment with The Rock, and the victory due to the reaction from the crowd. The crowd did not take the victory lightly and heavily booed Reigns despite him being a babyface.

A similar storyline is now brewing with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson hogging away all the spotlight while Roman Reigns is becoming the second fiddle. Despite, the main story being about Rhodes vs Reigns, the focus now is on The Rock and his feud with Cody Rhodes.

Does Roman Reigns have enough of it now, and will betray The Rock? Or will it be the other way around?
