Thanks to relatively minimal restrictions, it provided legendary storylines, and the match’s intensity was much higher than it is now.

WWE moved to the PG rating, leaving its TV 14 status, which gave them the freedom to enforce fewer limitations. The Undertaker, who spent three decades in the company as one of the top WWE superstars, was a prominent figure in both eras. The WWE Hall of Famer recently paid a surprise visit to Comic-Con, a gathering of geeks and superfans from many fields.

Taker was questioned about the business impact of the WWE dropping the PG rating during the conference. Taker’s reply, “I think it’s a good move. With their main demographic is 18-34-year-old males. Done the way that WWE will do it, it will mean much more than just a random. Okay, we’re gonna use a cuss word because it’s gonna get a cheap pop.”

Moreover, he added, “WWE is smart, and hopefully, when they do. Maybe it’s a chance to touch that Attitude Era. right? because I mean, the Attitude Era was out of control, but it was such great, great TV.
