Asuka was injured during a bout on WWE Backlash earlier this year, and she has not been seen much since. The Empress of Tomorrow sustained a serious knee injury and had to spend some time away from her on-screen role to rehabilitate. Her followers have long been hoping to see her, and perhaps there is an update on her injuries from her most recent appearance in Japan.

As you are all aware, some WWE superstars are presently on a tour in Japan for some wrestling shows. Asuka appeared on WWE LIVE Osaka SuperShow where she held the mic and talked to her fans. She did not wrestle since she was still healing from her injuries, and she only made an appearance for her fans. At the time, the former WWE Women’s Champion was walking on her own, without a special boot or crutches.

Despite the lack of a specific large boot or crutches, the injury appears to have not healed. The reason for this is that the former WWE Champion revealed her leg while in the ring, as she was showing off that she was wearing braces.

This minor detail has led to speculation that she is recovering well from her injury, and she has been healing well thus far. Before this, she was also seen exercising thereafter in one of the YouTube videos after the surgery she had on her knee. This suggests that there is a good chance she may return soon, which will be significant in the present storylines in the WWE’s women’s division.

Can Asuka return for this year’s SummerSlam?

SummerSlam is almost approaching, and WWE looks to go full throttle in their preparations. The corporation has a history of doing grand things during this event as they consider this event the second biggest PLE of their collection. Moreover, significant returns are typically expected to happen at this PLE. Due to this fact and Asuka’s previous appearance, many have speculated that the Empress of Tomorrow may return during SummerSlam.
