The lead singer and longest member of the band New Year’s Day, Ash Costello will be at WrestleMania 37. She will perform the theme song for Rhea Ripley’s entrance before her big match against Asuka.

Ripley goes one-on-one with a rejuvenated Asuka in her first match on the main roster since last year’s WrestleMania. The former NXT Women’s Champion has a solid WrestleMania resume already, having faced Charlotte Flair last year and now Asuka.

The news of Ash Costello appearing at WrestleMania first came from Loudwire, and WWE confirmed it on their official website. She now joins the list of eminent artists and bands to perform at WrestleMania. She joins the likes of Motorhead, Nita Strauss, Machine Gun Kelly, Flo Rida, Kid Rock and many more.

Costello, who provides the vocals for Ripley‘s theme song, has received only praise from the #1 contender for the Raw Women’s Championship. She talked about the singer in a 2020 interview with Loudwire.

“I think Ash is absolutely amazing. Being able to hear that when I’m coming out, it really does put me into the mindset that I’m going into a mosh pit and I’m ready to rock out and beat people up.”

A couple of weeks ago, Rhea Ripley made her Monday Night Raw debut and challenged Asuka to a WrestleMania title match. The confident champion accepted Rhea’s challenge. However, there might be a thrashing waiting for the Aussie at the Show of Shows.

Since suffering a concussion at the hands of Shayna Baszler, Asuka’s become one of the most dangerous women on the roster. It is good to see her back in her element, but will she be able to hold onto that momentum till the big day?
