WWE’s main roster PLEs for 2023 officially wrapped up at Survivor Series. The promotion started promoting Royal Rumble ’24 long before this happened. So, as one would expect, there were fewer faces on the official poster when it was released in September. But even now that the company has remade the poster to include some new additions, they forgot to add Drew McIntyre.
Drew McIntyre’s villainous arc may start at Royal Rumble
Survivor Series ’23 saw Randy Orton and CM Punk return to the promotion after a long time. Despite the short amount of time they have been in WWE since the PLE, Triple H saw it fit to add them to the RR poster for 2024. Noticing his absence from the new poster, The Scottish Psychopath objected.

The wrestler asked his fans, “Are you starting to understand my frustrations now?”, as seeing other talents taking his spot on the poster seemed angered him.
Could Randy Orton be the first wrestler to go up against Drew McIntyre as soon as his ‘villainous’ arc starts? This seems highly plausible considering how “The Viper” is currently on a ‘cleaning’ spree against the heels of the promotion.

But in order for Orton’s storyline to reach the Scottish heel, he would need to wrap up his feud with Judgment Day first.
Randy Orton owned Judgment Day on Monday Night Raw
Last Monday Night Raw was the first time Punk and Orton showed up in a weekly show following their Survivor Series return. Since the WWE legend had an important role in defeating Judgment Day at the PLE, the faction is not too happy with his return. As a result, the opening segment of the red brand’s last episode included Orton verbally feuding with the stable.

After dissing Mami during the promo, Orton was fixed for a match against Dirty Dom for later that night. The former WWE Champion ended up winning the match without wasting much time in the ring.
This indicates that he will try his best to clean out the remaining villains in the promotion. Given his history with Drew McIntyre, we can assume that WWE can use a lot of things from their past to make a potential future feud interesting.
