During the pandemic, many industries were affected. WWE was no exception, with matches being held in an audience-less stadium. The same could be seen on the bodybuilding front as well. The pandemic caused heavy losses for all.
During a podcast, Matt Daniels, a pro athlete manager, spoke about how much Schwarzenegger lost during the pandemic. According to Daniels, Schwarzenegger lost $4 million and proceeded to explain why.

During 2020, the bodybuilding community had to shut down like every other business. Daniels said, “Where would we be if Arnold didn’t put it up? He lost $4 million two years ago.” He explained that there were no expos in 2020 and that Schwarzenegger raised the prize money. Despite knowing that he was going to lose money, Schwarzenegger still did everything he could to ensure the Olyimpa would continue.
Johnson, on the other hand, brought home around $87 million in 2020. The Rock is known to charge $20 million per movie and filmed Jumanji and Red Notice during this time. Despite the hefty payout per movie, The Great One’s sponsorships online also made him a ton of cash.

Dwayne Johnson goes from $7 to $800 million
The Rock has stated on multiple occasions that there was a time when he had only $7 in his bank account. He struggled at times, which humbled him as a human being. Johnson says this keeps him grounded and doesn’t let him fly too high. Being an entrepreneur, he’s got his own Tequila company, followed by his ZOA Energy beverage drink and fitness clothing line.
Just like Schwarzenegger, The Rock built everything he has from scratch. Despite not appearing in movies, Schwarzenegger has investments that keep him wealthy. His love for bodybuilding rivals The Rock’s passion for the WWE. Both men are idols in their respective fields and are willing to do anything to ensure what they love works out in the end.
