Many wrestling fans are well aware of the wrestling couple Chelsea Green and Matt Cardona who exchanged vows back in 2021. The former and current WWE wrestlers took their bond far beyond the wrestling ropes. That being said, they didn’t do it for themselves. Rather, it was a kind of arranged relationship that clicked beyond the exceptions. It was Cody Rhodes and his wife Brandi Rhodes who played the middlemen card in their story.

Cody Rhodes and his wife Brandi Rhodes worked under WWE in different roles, with Cody being one of the mainstays of the roster and Brandi as an in-ring announcer since 2016. Despite The American Nightmare’s immense talent and dedication to carry forward his late father, Dusty Rhodes’s legacy inside the promotion, he had to part ways.

Brandi followed in her husband’s footsteps shortly afterward. The couple then jumped ship to Impact Wrestling for a brief period. While the stint was decent, it also served them emotionally by offering an amazing friend in the form of Chelsea Green. Green was an important part of Impact’s roster back then.

Shortly after her encounter with Cody Rhodes and his wife, the latter found her a perfect match for their good friend, WWE star Matt Cardona.

The Rhodes duo took the ultimate leap of faith by arranging a blind date for Cardona and Green. Luckily, it came out a huge success and Green and Cardona ended up together following that uncertain date. It solidified the bond between Chelsea Green and the Rhodes.

Recently the 32-year-old weighed in on the very start of her beautiful friendship with Cody and Brandi Rhodes, to whom she owed her love life. Speaking on the recent episode of the Out of Character podcast, Green noted, ”We actually were set up on a blind date … kind of blind. Obviously, I googled everything about him going into the date. But we are set up on a blind date through Cody and Brandi coz Cody and Brandi had just left WWE and came over to IMPACT where I was at the time … and met me and said that they had a friend who is lonely and needed to go on a date. And so Matt slid in my DMs.”

Chelsea Green made her return to WWE during Royal Rumble earlier this year after an unusual approach to Triple H.

Now, it is interesting to see how her friendship with Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes will flourish down the line, especially with Brandi, given that she is away from the promotion now with some projects on her hands.
