In an illustrious career spanning several decades, WWE legend Kurt Angle has checked many accomplishments, but very few come closer to his recent one. Being a dad is always a special feeling and to see your children grow in the right direction makes it even more special. Recently, the 54-year-old posted one of his son’s big achievements on social media and soon, it was flooded with congratulatory messages.

Among the many who reacted to the post were two other legends of the combat sports world, Colby Covington and Rey Mysterio.

‘Proud dad’ Kurt Angle shares pictures of son’s achievements

In January 2020, just before the pandemic hit, the former WWE Champion revealed that his adopted son, Joseph, was granted US citizenship. Three years later, Angle attended his son’s graduation ceremony. He shared pictures from the event on Instagram and Twitter. The 54-year-old said that his son had an “amazing senior year in wrestling too”.

Reacting to the post, Covington, a former interim UFC Welterweight Champion said that Joseph is heading towards his adopted father’s direction. “Apple don’t fall far from the tree 💪🇺🇸,” his comment read.

In case you aren’t aware, before making a career in pro wrestling, Kurt Angle won an Olympic gold medal in the 1996 games in freestyle wrestling.

Fellow WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio said, “👏👏Congrats!!”

This person had words of praise for Joseph: “atta boy! 🍾🥛”

A fan said they have mad respect for the WWE legend.

Another commented that it’s the best moment for any father, to see their child graduate.

On the other hand, another member of the Angle family is stepping into the legend’s shoes by heading towards pro wrestling.

Kody Angle wants to be trained by AEW star, reveals his mother

Kurt Angle’s former wife Karen Jarrett revealed last year that their son, Kody, is interested in moving into pro wrestling. Karen Jarrett, who is currently married to AEW star Jeff Jarrett, made her debut in Tony Khan’s promotion last month. She and Angle were married for 10 years, before getting divorced in 2008.

The couple have a son and a daughter- Kody and Kyra, respectively. Last year, Karen Jarrett told Chris Van Vliet that her teenage son shaved his head to look like Jay Lethal, an AEW star who currently is the tag team partner of her present husband. She said Kody Angle wants to be trained by Lethal and hopes to join the pro wrestling business.

Meanwhile, Kurt Angle has already informed about his adopted son’s senior year in wrestling. So, could the two brothers meet each other in the ring? Time will tell.
