“Anyone Can Be President”: Dwayne Johnson’s Millionaire Co-Stars’ Eyebrow Rising Responses on President Rock in 2017

Dwayne Johnson has forged a successful career as a Hollywood star and also as a businessman. The Rock, popular from his WWE days, used his talents to turn around the fortunes of many movie franchises.

Also, he has had a golden touch when it comes to his business ventures and has become a global brand. Owing to his immense popularity and success with everything he does, DJ once put his name out for a potential run in the U. S Presidential elections in 2020.

During this time, the actor was also busy with his upcoming movie Baywatch. During one of the interviews about the movie, DJ’s co-stars gave insightful comments on him possibly running for President.

Dwayne Johnson enjoys a tremendous fanbase globally and is one of the most recognisable celebrities in the world. Many people flock to the theaters just to see him in action. Also, his star power can single-handedly revive an ailing franchise.

With such fame, it is not difficult to fathom a possible The Great One taking part in an election for the U. S President in the near future.

This was especially a hot topic in late 2016, after business tycoon and media personality Donald Trump won the Presidential race without any prior political experience.

This led to The Rock saying he wouldn’t rule out a run and that the election of Trump showed that ‘anything can happen‘. Furthermore, he even tweeted about an article on why he should run for President. 

All this happened as his Baywatch movie, which starred quite a few other notable names, was going to come out. In an interview in 2017, with newscaster Heath Catlin, his Baywatch co-stars talked about The Rock potentially running for President.

Actor Jon Bass joined co-actors Kelly Rohrbach and Ilfenesh Hadera in the discussion. The host asked them what are the qualities that could make The Brahma Bull a good President.

Kelly Rohrbach jokingly said that he smelt good, which should be a prerequisite. Bass then added that the recent Presidential election indicated that anyone can be President.

He said, “If there’s one thing we have learned from the recent presidential election is that literally anyone can be President. He seems like the perfect candidate to be the next.”

Moreover, Rohrbach said The Rock was a born leader which could serve him well. “In all fairness, he’s such a leader. He’s born to lead. Born to lead Dwayne for President 2020.” She also said that on the sets he was a great role model and brought them together as a family.

Although he expressed this desire a few years ago, more recently the People’s Champion said that his prospect of running for the White House is “off the table“.

For now, Dwayne Johnson‘s presidential ambitions are on hold. But if he ever decides to give it a try, his millionaire co-stars from Hollywood could be there to support him.
