The Undertaker is one of the most popular pro-wrestlers in the entire world. Mark Calaway was the man behind ‘The Undertaker’ and carried the aura of the character for over 30 years. He announced his retirement in the year 2020 in the WWE documentary ‘The Last Ride.’

WWE will induct the Undertaker into the Hall of Fame on April 1st, 2022. Ahead of the Hall of Fame Ceremony, The Phenom has been appearing in many interviews.

Recently, The Undertaker was in an interview on SHAK Wrestling. During the interview, he talked about various topics, including WWE, and the Hall of Fame ceremony. Towards the end of the interview, The Undertaker was asked about his thoughts on the passing away of Scott Hall.

The Phenom praised Scott Hall and talked about how great an in-ring worker he was and how gifted he was. Taker also addressed Hall’s and Shawn’s ladder match at Madison Square Garden by calling it legendary.

The Deadman said, “It’s just another sad example you know we lose and lost way too many guys that were too young of age. Some of our choices that we make early on we don’t see the ramifications later in our lifes. You can’t foreshadow that but it’s sad to lose a guy that you been in the trenches with, that you come up with.”

He added, “I know it was sad for Nash and Shawn and Triple H, X-Pac all those guys. They were all so tight. I know what it’s like to lose guys like that you are really close with. I feel bad for them I feel bad for, I feel bad for Scott’s family. Just Another sad loss for our businesses has suffered.”

The Phenom addressed the passing away as a big loss for pro-wrestling. He knew how great a wrestler Scott was. Taker shared his condolences to Scott and his family, calling The Bad Guy one of the most gifted pro-wrestlers ever.

The Undertaker and Scott Hall knew each other before WWE

Before debuting as The Deadman in WWE, Calaway wrestled with various promotions, like USWA and WCW. He also spent a small time in Japan at NJPW. Calaway went to Japan after he gave his notice to WCW to go to WWE, but Vince McMahon had nothing for Taker.

At the same time, Scott Hall had also left WCW and was having matches in Japan. When Taker went there, Scott Hall took The Deadman under his wing.

Taker said, “I was on my first tour of Japan with Scott kind of took me under his wing and showed me the ropes in 1988 or 89 whenever it was. Where to go to eat and you know, it was really a sad day”.

The Deadman shared a different friendship with Scott Hall. Hall was there for Taker in Japan before Mark Calaway moved to the USA again and became The Undertaker.
