The recent controversy surrounding Vince McMahon has plunged WWE into another pit. While the big boss has faced such situations before, he is not alone this time as Brock Lesnar has also been roped into the flurry of allegations currently flying in the wrestling world. As of now, WWE is busy clearing its name of the dirt created by the scandal. In the process, they have taken another step as WrestleMania 40 comes closer.

WWE erases Brock Lesnar from WrestleMania 40 poster

Wrestle Features took to X on February 4th to post the most recent WrestleMania XL poster. The poster was uploaded with the tweet, “WWE are now using this #WrestleMania graphic to promote the show. The previous graphic featured Brock Lesnar, so that’s likely why it’s been replaced.” The new poster consists of a WrestleMania graphic along with details of the show.

It is known that the previous poster of WrestleMania XL featured Brock Lesnar along with Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, and Asuka. However, the new poster does not consist of any WWE superstar.

While WWE planned to erase Brock Lesnar after the controversial matter on Vince McMahon indirectly involved his name, other superstars were left affected as well. It may be another move by WWE to compensate for the damage caused to its reputation due to the recent allegations.

WWE has already announced a discount on most merchandise featuring Brock Lesnar. They also removed him from his anticipated Royal Rumble appearance, removed him from the WWE 2K24 game, and probably from future WWE programs until WrestleMania.

The actions induced by WWE are countermeasures taken by the company due to Lesnar’s alleged involvement in the ongoing lawsuit. Well, WWE has taken many actions to defend themselves against the raging allegations that have affected them greatly.

WWE and Cody Rhodes pay the price

WWE’s major sponsor for nearly thirty years, Slim Jim pulled back their contract immediately after Vince McMahon was faced with the lawsuit. As a result, McMahon immediately resigned from his position with the TKO Group. As of now, he is not involved with the company in any manner.

Dave Meltzer revealed in one of his recent radio podcasts that WWE had to change their WrestleMania plans as well due to the scandal. While they called in Dwayne Johnson to their aid, Cody Rhodes was the one who paid the prize as a casualty.
