It’s no surprise that The Rock always delivers what the people want. Young Rock, the real-life-based TV show of Dwayne Johnson, has been a crowd-puller so far. The reception of The Great One’s story from his childhood, including how wrestling is in his bloodline, was undoubtedly tremendous.

Until the second season, Young Rock goes with a hilarious presentation of DJ’s family matters and teenage years. But at the end of it, his passion to be a professional wrestler got molded, and he finally stepped into the WWF. Thus, in the latest episode of the sitcom, the WWE locker room was recreated. This did not win appreciation from many fans who seemed critical about the presentation of The Undertaker.

The second season of NBC’s ‘Young Rock’ is packed with quite a lot of treats for the WWE fandom as it contains the special moment of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson‘s entry into the squared circle. This particular episode, which debuted on May 3, featured Johnson’s tryout match with WWE in 1996 at a live event in Corpus Christi, Texas. What’s more interesting was that the characters of several WWE Hall of Famers such as The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley, and Triple H appeared in it.

Fans troll Young Rock’s casting in the WWE debut episode of Dwayne Johnson

When you want to recreate a WWE locker room full of iconic heroes, the job is definitely difficult. Also, it is impossible to please the fandom as superstars like The Undertaker and Steve Austin can not be quite like the original. Obviously, the fans expressed their disapproval of the casting in episode 8 of Young Rock.

However, it was the casting of The Phenom that stirred the pot. Taker, who looks like Johnny Depp in the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise, entered the WWE locker room, as Johnson narrated his first day in the company. Moreover, the way actor Josh Rawiri played the Deadman did not do justice to the fans’ expectations.

On Twitter, fans burst out laughing at seeing an unreal Undertaker. One fan wrote, “That’s supposed to be The Undertaker circa 1996 on the young rock??”

Furthermore, it was not just Taker, but Steve Austin and Triple H that looked so counterfeit in that scene.
