Vince McMahon believed in Brock Lesnar right from the day he laid his eyes on him. The Beast Incarnate went on to make huge money for WWE over the course of the first two years of his career. However, he once had a bloodied feud with an ex-WWE star, whom Mr. McMahon believed in too.
According to this ex-WWE superstar, his feud with Lesnar cannot be recreated in WWE. Recently, he recalled an insane bump ‘Vinnie-Mac’ asked to take against The Conqueror.

Former WWE superstar Zach Gowen, famously known as the first one-legged wrestler appeared for an interview with Steve Falls. He reminisced about the segment when Lesnar threw him from the stairs while tied to a wheelchair. However. Gowen didn’t take the bump as it was a stunt double.
The 40-year-old said, “I didn’t take it. They brought in a stunt double to take that particular fall, down the stairs tied to a wheelchair. This guy looked just looked like me except he had two feet. … Right before we cut, Vince asked me if I wanted to take the bump. And I looked at him and I said, ‘Are you crazy?’”
Gowen added, “I know how to take a powerbomb, and I know how to fall off the top rope but I don’t to fall down a flight of stairs with a wheelchair bouncing behind my head. So I politely declined.”
The former WWE star has cited his matches with Lesnar as one of the most violent examples in the industry and reiterated that they wouldn’t be done in current shows. Moreover, even though he took a beating from The Beast, he is one of the stars to have a win on the 10-time world champion and obviously, it’s via disqualification.

Additionally, this one-year WWE run gave Gowen a boost in his life and he calls Mr. McMahon as the person who saved him. Additionally, he might have taken the bump if there wasn’t any choice.
Vince McMahon would’ve let him take this bump
The 77-year-old has always tried to maintain his superstars’ safety fist while doing any stunt. Therefore, a stunt double was called instead of Gowen, but the 40-year-old says McMahon would have let him take that bump if he wanted to.
The ex-WWE stars said, “But Vince would have let me take that bump if I had obliged. Thankfully I didn’t (take that bump). I think my mom is thankful I didn’t either.”
