Amidst Rumors of Being Dropped by Disney, Dwayne Johnson Issues Confident Statement Regarding Upcoming Live Action Remake of $700 Million Movie

When you hear the name The Rock, you must get confused regarding which title to pick for him. Will it be a wrestler? Will it be an actor or will it be an entrepreneur? Well, it’s on the verge of becoming even more confusing for you to choose one, as the great one recently expressed his desire to sing. That being said, it’s a part of his acting gig only.

Johnson has an immense love for music. He shared his gym playlist or favorite track or artists with his fans during several interviews and social media posts. But his music affinity is not only confined to being a mere listener, he also has a good voice, something that the fans first came to know after he sang a song for the Disney movie Moana back in 2016. The movie featured The Great One’s voice on the song, ‘You’re Welcome’, the seventh one from the Moana soundtrack. The Rock also did the voiceover for Maui’s character in the $700 million movie.

Dwayne Johnson gave a clear hint of his upcoming Disney movie amid controversy

Last month DJ announced that there will be a live-action remake of that popular animated movie, ‘Moana’. He himself shared the news on Twitter. But following his ongoing issue with Disney, fans wondered if he actually ends up being cast in the popular sequel or not. But according to a recent interview by ESPN, it looks like things started to move in Johnson’s way.

In one part of that interview, the Jumanji actor was asked about his next role. The Brahma bull promptly replied, ‘I am ready to sing’ with a sprinkling smile on his face. It hints that he’s still not out of the cast list of the upcoming Moana live-action remake.

Although the date and other details are still not disclosed, Johnson’s involvement looks certain amid his recent troubled relationship with Disney Studios.

Recent controversies surrounding DJ’s alliance with future Disney projects

Dwayne Johnson has been at the top of the world for a very long time. But ever since there have been issues with Warner Bros and DC Universe, he has been involved in a few controversies.

One of them was leaking false information to the press regarding Black Adam’s success, which was seen as a box office bust for DC.

And now it has been reported that Johnson has been removed from future Disney projects, including a new Pirates of the Caribbean film. Now, we are yet to see if he really comes back to Disney with Moana’s live-action in the future or not.
