Dwayne Johnson‘s heart is wider than his big fat bank account, something his fans are very well aware of. Despite sitting atop of name, fame, and every possible material success, The Rock never forgets to be kind to his immediate surroundings, including friends, family, nature, animals, and everything else. Sometimes the range of this immediate circle reaches his fans, especially the less fortunate ones who fight some significant challenges in their lives.
There is a well-documented history of Johnson coming to the help of his physically disabled fans both morally and financially. But this time, his message to a fan battling cerebral palsy might include a business motive to a slight extent. Although his care for the fan was genuine, it looks like he drags him to counter those who brutally criticize his infamous ‘Project Rock’ shoes.

The Rock’s sky-high success in multiple ventures has been a testament to his business mastermind. But his co-branded Project Rock ft UFC footwear met with a severe backlash from fans. Johnson wasn’t that vocal about the issue so far. But now, months after the launch of BSR3, it looks like The People’s Champion got a humble way to launch a counterattack to his critics.
His urge for kindness blended with his sharp firing back energy culminated in a tweet in which DJ acknowledged a special fan who praised his highly controversial shoes on the public forum.
A man named Nick Turnbo with severe nervous dysfunction, medically known as cerebral palsy, posted a clip on his Twitter where he was seen very elated, flaunting the pair of BSR shoes. He captioned, ”Thank you, Mike Boyle, for getting me these shoes. I really appreciate it.
@TheRock!”

It caught The Rock’s attention who chose to uplift him in a counter tweet, where he wrote, ‘‘Looking good my man! Those BSRs are exclusive 👟 👊🏾👍🏾Enjoy!!”

It was definitely a big thing for the fan, but it’s even bigger for Johnson himself as it allowed him to shut his critics down in a polite, indirect way.
The Rock’s ‘Project Rock’ garnered massive criticism
The MMA community was set abuzz last year that UFC had penned a deal with WWE icon, The Rock, making Under Armour’s ‘Project Rock’ the UFC’s official footwear. The deal obligated the UFC persons to wear the ‘Project Rock’ shows during any programming. However, it resulted in massive discontent among them, with many heavyweights demanding that the fighters weren’t paid to promote Johnson’s shoes. It was only an instrument to fill the pockets of UFC and The Rock without benefitting others.

Capitalizing on that note, UFC fighter Nate Diaz also took a jibe at Johnson, lambasting his business deal with UFC.
In a backstage interview with Megan Olivi for ESPN, the fighter stated, ”These shoes f**ing sk. Look at these shoes. They made me put this sh* on… F**k these shoes!”
