Every pro wrestler deep down is a Hollywood hopeful. After wrestling, transitioning into Hollywood is the next logical move. Dwayne Johnson paved the way for many wrestlers who also aspire to be Hollywood actors. Aside from Johnson, John Cena and Batista have turned to Hollywood full time. And pretty soon, so will Roman Reigns. The Tribal Chief’s Wiseman, Paul Heyman, recently called him a better actor than anybody in the WWE.

When it comes to acting skills, there’s no denying that Roman Reigns is a natural. His “Tribal Chief” gimmick alone substantiates his skills as an actor. The Head of the Table is the personification of greatness in WWE. And this is why a call-up from Hollywood is expected soon for Roman Reigns.

While speaking on Tetragrammaton with Rick Rubin, Paul Heyman explained why he thinks Roman Reigns as an actor is better than anybody in WWE. Heyman praised the longstanding storyline involving The Bloodline. While giving credit to The Usos and Sami Zayn, Heyman asserted that Roman Reigns was unmatched in the field of theatrics.

He said, “Roman Reigns as an actor is better than anybody else in the WWE and he pulled it off. So, we tailored this to his strengths and now it’s become an accepted part of the business. (Do you think other people come along with the skillset to be able to do this?) I think it’s now part of the expectation of a top star to be able to act in that way, yeah! I think he’s added a dimension to a top star that we didn’t have before.”

Heyman added that Roman Reigns has added a unique dimension to top star status. He also agreed that Roman Reigns has raised the bar for whoever supersedes him as the next poster boy of the company. This just goes to show that the reigning WWE Undisputed Universal Champion is a tough act to follow.

Thanks to Roman Reigns, compelling acting skills have become a prerequisite for a top star in the WWE. Much like how we see in the movies, the wrestlers in WWE follow a script. It’s their job to sink their teeth into the role. And Reigns’ acting prowess has left nothing to be desired.

The Bloodline leader recently completed his 1000 day as the World Champion, something that was considered to be inconceivable for wrestlers to accomplish in modern wrestling. But having carved out a fire-sure Hall of Fame career, Roman Reigns is preparing to move to Hollywood. At present, the rumor is that Reigns is going to finish the Bloodline saga by SummerSlam and go on a hiatus.

Even WWE CEO Nick Khan relayed the information about Roman pursuing future pursuits during an interview with The Town with Matt Belloni. According to Khan, WWE is helping Roman Reigns to “cross over”. He said, “We think he’s certainly up there. We have big plans to help him cross over. The inner voice has to match the outer voice. It’s the same thing with our characters – The Rock, John Cena, Stone Cold, and Roman Reigns.

It’s also worth noting that Roman Reigns is no stranger to being featured on the silver screen. His most noteworthy role was with his cousin, Dwayne Johnson, in the Fast & Furious spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw.
