Lesnar vs Omos was never the original plan
Last Week on Raw, the former tag team champion Omos challenged ‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar for a one-on-one match at WWE’s biggest event of the year. Several fans were considering it just a setup for a bigger match at WrestleMania 39. But, the creatives proved the fans wrong by making the match official shortly after.
However, according to recent reports, this wasn’t the actual WrestleMania plan for Brock Lesnar. Triple H was thinking of booking him in another way. But due to some circumstances in the creative department, ‘The Game’ decided to pull a different card.
Recently, the American journalist Dave Meltzer reported in the ‘Wrestling Observer Newsletter’ that Omos vs Brock Lesnar was never the original booking for WrestleMania this year, as WWE had some other plans for Lesnar. But soon after, Triple H changed his mind.
Meltzer Reported, “Brock Lesnar vs. Omos. The only thing we know is that whatever the Lesnar plan was, and it wasn’t Gunther, that is that it changed in the last week or two.”
However, there is no evident reason behind this immediate change in plan. But fans and critics are suspecting that a possible reason might be the backlash that the creative department is facing due to poor bookings of Brock Lesnar.

In the WWE Elimination Chamber 2023, the creatives set Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley in a one-on-one match. Lashley won the match via disqualification when ‘The Beast’ delivered a low blow.
This not-so-clean victory of Lesnar made fans believe that the long-term rivalry would only get the conclusion at WrestleMania 39. However, it doesn’t seem to happen as WWE has already booked Brock to face Omos.
And for Bobby Lashley, the fans are predicting that he might face Bray Wyatt this year. Although WWE has not officially made any statement about this, but it is the only feasible booking that fans can see for now.
