Vince McMahon stunned the world by announcing WWE’s merger with UFC and its sale to the MMA promotion’s parent company Endeavor, earlier this year. This was preceded by a period of his absence from the company. McMahon had to step down amid allegations of misconduct. As the matter was investigated in 2022, it led to his departure from the company. However, as soon as he was back, WWE fans were angry, not because of his past deeds, but because of his alleged involvement in the RAW after WrestleMania episode. The said program was plagued with abrupt changes and confusion, leading to fans speculating McMahon’s involvement. However, he has been cleared of the charges by Seth Rollins.
The current WWE World Heavyweight Champion recalled the episode and revealed what actually went wrong.

Do you remember how Rollins received notes during his segment and left the ring abruptly during the aforementioned episode? It made many believe that The Visionary was upset with the promotion, especially after his acclaimed bout against Logan Paul just days ago at WrestleMania 39.
But speaking to Jimmy Traina during his appearance on the SI Media With Jimmy Traina podcast, Rollins set the record straight. He said the 77-year-old wasn’t involved, as speculated widely. “So, it was just a production snafu,” he said.
He said the intention was to allow the crowd to sing along and then go on a commercial break and then come back. But the crew played an AV, making Rollins wonder if they were on the same page with the running of the show.
“…It didn’t translate the way you would want it to because the crowd wasn’t able to participate the way the segment was meant to be planned. So, I wasn’t really that upset about that. That was just a bad handling,” he added.
This comes as good news for Vince McMahon and his admirers, given the turmoil he’s in at the moment.
Where does Vince McMahon’s future in the WWE stand?
The pro wrestling impresario was hit with a double whammy recently. On one hand, he underwent major surgery, and on the other, McMahon was hit with a search warrant and federal grand jury subpoena. Both these developments were confirmed by the WWE.
We also have news about McMahon’s future in the company. As of now, he will remain on medical leave until further notice, WWE stated in its recent SEC filing. However, the statement added that he will continue to serve as the Executive Chairman of the Company.

Even with that, McMahon is likely to miss the upcoming SummerSlam PLE. The marquee event will take place at Ford Field in Detroit on August 5. McMahon, who had the surgery on July 21, is not likely to recover in time to attend the event in person.
