While the crowd wouldn’t react to Knight at all previously, he seemed to have unlocked the secret code to win fans over. And Knight has been doing it without any major push or a title run.

Which has made many curious about WWE’s lack of push for him. If a wrestler tends to control the crowd like the 40-year-old has, they should have received a big push from the promotion. Over the weeks, WWE’s decision has not only baffled the fans but has also frustrated them. Now, we seem to have an answer for their actions or the lack thereof.

Does LA Knight lack a major skill?

Reports have emerged about LA Knight’s backstage issues. While The Defiant One is a fan favorite, he fails to elicit the same response backstage. According to PWTorch, Knight falls short when it comes to a particular skill.

The outlet reported that the wrestler tends to rub people the wrong way backstage. “Knight has a long-running reputation for rubbing people the wrong way behind the scenes and just being ‘bad at a backstage politics’,” part of the report read.

This has impeded his growth in the company, despite all that he’s accomplished in the last few months. But LA Knight fans can cheer up. As per the report, Triple H and his team of creatives are planning a push for the superstar post-SummerSlam.

However, the worrying factor is that Knight himself can jeopardize it. The promotion could aid him with the necessary thrust, but in case the fans stop reacting to him the way they do now, WWE is likely to shelve their plan for LA Knight.

Recently, AEW fans were heard chanting LA Knight’s name in one of the promotion’s wrestling events. As the video gained traction on the internet, Knight himself acknowledged it by sharing the same as his Instagram story. This also showed that Knight has been able to break open the proverbial Forbidden Door and win fans over at AEW as well.

With his popularity soaring by the week, and no major push from WWE, how long will the 40-year-old wait before he jumps ship to All Elite Wrestling? That is a question for WWE to ponder.

If that happens, many fans will surely be unhappy and there could be a possible fan exodus.
