‘Kingdom’ was written and recorded by the band Downstait. This theme song has remained Cody Rhodes’ constant even when he was in AEW and returned to WWE. Over the years, the love for this theme has grown stronger, some even calling it ‘The Whoa Song’.
During the West Ham vs Arsenal halftime, a short clip from the live footage was uploaded by a wrestling fan on Twitter. Because of the commentary and noise from the stands, the sound is considerably faded, but we can still hear ‘Kingdom’ playing in the stadium.
Downstait replied to the fan tweet by saying, “There are no words to describe the feeling we have watching the growth and reach of this song.” The band also tagged Cody Rhodes at the end of the tweet. They appreciate the heights that Rhodes has taken their song to.
