Dave Batista is an unforgettable name in the WWE arena. The former six-time WWE champion had his last dream match against longtime mentor ‘Triple H’ at WrestleMania 35 in the year of 2019. After losing that match, ‘The Animal’ has several times confirmed that his wrestling era has gone for good.

As many wrestlers so far have broken their word to make a last comeback before finally disappearing from the scene, fans expected something similar for Batista. But after his recent interaction, during the Jimmy Fallon show, all expectations finally came to an end.

Dave Bautista has confirmed his retirement once again

Batista recently appeared on the Jimmy Fallon show and confirmed once again that he is officially retired from wrestling, and is not going to come back in the ring ever. While many fans didn’t expect him back in the ring, some had a slight ray of last hope. But unfortunately or fortunately their hope will remain a hope and will never be fulfilled.

Dave, who had also a lucrative career in acting, said in his latest interview, “It’s the perfect exit. We all had those perfect character arcs and such a storybook ending. I constantly relate it to the way I ended my wrestling career. I ended it on a storybook note. And I would never go back and tarnish that. And it’s the same with this”.

Fans seem to greet him on a good note after the final confirmation came out. Referring to his legendary career, some wished good health to the 54-year-old superstar.

Some of them got truly emotional while sending the goodbye note to the fallen star.

Being exceptionally gifted at both acting and wrestling, the shining superstar gifted one after another Hollywood hits, making some fans believe that it was his shining acting career that caused the early sunset of his wrestling career. Though some of them countered the opinion by referring to John Cena who is still successfully continuing both. They even sarcastically pointed out his desire for more money.

Flashback to Dave Bautista’s legendary career

However, looking back to Dave Batista’s legendary WWE career, we get nothing but goosebumps. His tenure as ‘The Animal’ Batista in the WWE is still what fans are fascinated by since the 2000s.

He holds the record for having the longest tenure as World Heavyweight Champion. Apart from that, he won one WWE Tag Team Championship and three World Tag Team Championships. After winning the 2005 Royal Rumble, he made his appearance in WrestleMania 21.

On a similar tone, ‘The Animal’ ended his career by losing the match to his favorite, the same Triple H at the same grandest stage of Wrestling in 2019.

Initially, Dave was supposed to be in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020.

However, due to the COVID-19 situation, it got postponed. But it seems like the Hall of Fame induction may not be too far for the evergreen superstar.
