Last month, Dwayne Johnson appeared on The Pivot Podcast and regaled the hosts with stories from his past. During the chat, he spoke about the time his family faced a financial crisis and he said that was his moment of realization when he understood he could not be broke.

We are all familiar with Johnson’s seven-dollar story. Well, not just him, LWO member Santos Escobar too has a similar tale. According to Escobar, he was once left with “1 dollar and five cents”. From being almost broke, the WWE superstar has had quite a turnaround.

Recently, he announced the purchase of a house for his mother on social media. Escobar termed it “one of the most beautiful satisfactions in life”. He said he was “beyond grateful” for the achievement.

The wrestler-turned-actor made up for his childhood woes by gifting his mother and father their respective houses. In 2016, Johnson gifted his father, WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson, a house. It was a Christmas present from the third-generation WWE superstar.

Ata Johnson, his mother, received houses as gifts in 2018 and 2022. His gifts, however, aren’t limited to real estate. We often see Johnson splurging on various items for his mother and close ones.
