Almost a Year Later, Kevin Owens Shockingly Punished Himself for Speaking Ill About Stone Cold Steve Austin and Texas

Kevin Owens has a reputation for being unpredictable. No one can guess what goes inside his head. Also, he is in his baby face phase right now in WWE. And he proved to be a true babyface by pulling out a unique move at a live event recently.

In a recent live show event that took place in El Paso, Texas, he showcased an act of apology for trash-talking about Texas and Stone Cold Steve Austin last year. But his way of apologizing was a tad bit different from usual. Let’s dive deep and find out how Owens apologized for his actions.

Kevin Owens willingly puts himself through the table

Last year, ‘The Prizefighter’ fought Stone Cold in a No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania Night 1 main event. But to make that happen, he had to coerce his opponent to fight the match. For that, he used his opponent’s home town Texas as his target among other insults.

He insulted the WWE legend and his hometown in his KO show, which forced his opponent to accept his challenge. Though he lost his match at The Grandest Stage of Them All, he was successful in his tactic to lure the 3:16 star to fight inside the ring after almost two decades.

A year later now, in front of the Texas crowd, Owens apologized for insulting the city and its folks. He really felt bad about the approach he took to make Austin wrestle him. To showcase the depth of his heartfelt apology, he voluntarily jumped back-first onto a table.

The WWE live show took place on April 16. During the main event of the show, KO joined forces with other top baby faces in WWE right now, Cody Rhodes and Matt Riddle. The segment saw the face trio square off against the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion, Gunther, Giovanni Vinci, and Ludwig Kaiser, collectively known as the Imperium.

After KO crashed through the table, Rhodes and Riddle went to check on him as the crowd chanted ‘Holy Sh*t’. Both stars helped him get back on his feet. After the segment, fans saw The American Nightmare asking him to sign a piece of the broken table, which was later given to one of the fans sitting in the audience.
