Almost a Year Ago, Dwayne Johnson Revealed the Pillar of Strength for Him After His Close Friend Paul Walker Tragically Passed Away

The Rock doesn’t always show a resemblance to his name, especially with matters of the heart. His fans are well aware of how delicate the 260lbs former World Champion is when it comes to his near and dear ones. Johnson had the hard luck to meet depression at several points in his life, as a side effect of being a person with loaded empathy.

One of that dark phases hit him hard when he lost his close friend, Fast and Furious actor Paul Walker back in 2013. Walker, fall victim to a severe car crash in the community of Valencia, in North Loss Angeles. He was found dead in a burned-out wreckage of a red Porsche in the middle of the road. It devastated Johnson when he came to know about the shell-shocking news. But thanks to the love of his life who came to his safety at that tough moment, Johnson emerged from the depths of despair.

Wife Lauren Hashian’s love and support took DJ out of a severe depression

Lauren Hashian, DJ’s wife, was there by his side, providing all her strength to the sensitive Hollywood hunk who almost went off balance in the sudden strike of the tragedy. Johnson’s heart ached most for Walker’s 14-year-old daughter Meadow as he and Walker spent hours unleashing their dad’s selves to each other.

During a past interview, Johnson opened up about how Hashian’s unconditional support helped him to get through the depressive phase. The actor noted, ‘‘I was driving with Lauren when she immediately turned very quiet and was looking at me, studying, wondering if I knew. I pulled over and looked at my message and had a moment when I just caught my breath.” He added that both he and Hashian said a prayer in the car to send Paul’s daughter Meadow Walker strength.

DJ also shared how he and Lauren cried their hearts out after reaching home.

However, Lauren, 38, hasn’t only been serving as a healer to his husband’s emotional wound, she has been the real rock in The Rock’s life for the past 15 years now.

Dwayne Johnson gave credit to his wife to keep him, and his family balanced

Fans often think that celebrity relationships are fragile. Johnson and Hashian proved this highly typical stance wrong. While they have their own ups and downs in the course of a journey of togetherness, it never surpassed their mutual love and appreciation for each other. The couple pulled off an exotic wedding ceremony in Hawaii back in 2019 after over a decade of dating.

Father of two beautiful daughters, Johnson felt lucky to find love for the second time in his life. DJ never fails to acknowledge what values his wife brought into his life. Besides appreciating Hashian to take the best care of his children, Johnson believes she is the ultimate balancing key in his life.

During a past interview with People, The People’s Champion revealed, ‘‘She teases me about everything. Nothing is off-limits in our house. And it’s the beauty of it.”
