Before that, let us take a look at Roman Reigns’ record at Hell in a Cell.
#4 Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt
This brutal match took place on 25th October 2015 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Roman faced Bray Wyatt during the feud with The Wyatt Family. It all started when Bray Wyatt interfered in the Money in the Bank ladder match causing Reigns to lose the match. The feud reached its boiling point at Hell in a Cell 2015 where Reigns defeated Wyatt with a devastating spear.
#3 United States Championship
In 2016, ‘The Big Dog‘ defended his WWE United States Championship against Rusev in the Hell in a Cell PPV. The match delivered on its hype and then some. Fans ate up the chaos which ensued inside the ring. The ending was the highlight of the fight as Reigns broke through Rusev’s Accolade and slam him onto the steel steps. Reigns then quickly hit Rusev with a spear to pick up the win.

#2 WWE Universal Championship
The Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman in Hell in a Cell was a dream matchup for the fans. And to top it off, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley, was the special guest referee. But to the fans’ dismay, the fight ended in a no-contest due to the interference of ‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar.
The brawl was as good as the fans expected it to be. Both wrestlers have a very physical style of wrestling and both complimented each other in the ring. However, it all changed when Brock Lesnar showed up and kicked the cell door open. He went inside the cell and smashed both wrestlers.
Even Paul Heyman took out Mick Foley by spraying something in his eyes. The replacement referee called off the match.
#1 Roman Reigns vs Jey Uso
This match may well be Roman’s best Hell in a Cell match. He fought against his own kin, Jey Uso in an “I Quit” match. Even though Reigns beat Uso to a pulp, Jey gave it his best shot.
Seeing his brother being absolutely demolished, Jimmy Uso made his way into the ring. The match itself was very emotional for both men. In the end, seeing that Jey would not quit, Reigns locked Jimmy in a Guillotine Choke after he protected Jey.
