Drew McIntyre made his return with a massive pop at Money in the Bank. He made his intentions to go after Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship very clear. However, it seems he isn’t clear about his future in WWE. Just moments after Triple H crushed all the rumors of McIntyre’s beef with WWE, there was a major update about his contract.

This alarming update puts a big question mark on The Hunter’s comments about McIntyre at the WWE Money in the Bank Press Conference. However, only the management and the former WWE champion know what’s going on.

Drew McIntyre had some demands for WWE

After a banger match against Gunther and Sheamus at WrestleMania 39, Drew McIntyre’s absence was felt in WWE. It was reportedly said that there was a beef between the former two-time WWE Champion and the company over his contract.

Nevertheless, Triple H recently denied everything that was reported between WWE and McIntyre for the past few months. However, a new report shares the shocking news that ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ has not signed a new WWE contract yet.

A recent report by PWInsider Elite via Wrestling News.Co shares Drew McIntyre is back after WWE agreed to a major feud. WWE wanted the 38-year-old to return at Money in the Bank. But there was some friction between the parties, as McIntyre wanted a storyline. 

McIntyre has returned to WWE on his current contract, which will end in early 2024. Both parties are yet to have a discussion on a new contract as there are a few months pending on his current one. 

McIntyre will face Gunther as his next opponent and will appear in this week’s RAW. There is a possibility we can see them facing each other at SummerSlam for the Intercontinental championship.

There are few details on when WWE and McIntyre will have a discussion about a new contract. However, what Triple H has said paints an optimistic picture of McIntyre’s future with WWE.

During the Money in the Bank Press Conference, Triple H shared that Drew McIntyre had been out because of an injury. The Head of Creatives of WWE didn’t disclose what the injury was. Also, he stated there was no beef between the two regarding anything.

Furthermore, the ‘King of Kings’ also recalled how he and McIntyre joked about the reports that came out in the past few months. He praised ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ and claimed he would love to see the 38-year-old in WWE for a long time.
