AJ Styles and Omos made their first appearance in over three weeks on Raw. Styles and Omos kicked off the show as they came out for their match against The New Day. However, Styles cut a promo before the match. He boasted about the WrestleMania victory, and revealed he and Omos went to Florida and the Caribbean to celebrate.

First successful defense for AJ Styles and Omos

The ‘Phenomenal One‘ took shots at The New Day, saying they had better things to do than throw tomatoes on people. Styles emphasized him becoming WWE Grand Slam champion and how Omos won the titles in his debut match. Before he could talk further, The New Day interrupted and both teams had a verbal back and forth.

Just as the match started, Styles immediately tagged Omos into the match. He quickly overpowered Xavier Woods. However, Kofi Kingston made a quick tag in the corner to give his partner some breathing time. After failing to gain momentum, Kingston and Woods went for a tag team maneuver.

The New Day hit Omos with double dropkicks. The ‘Nigerian Giant’ bounced from the ropes and took both men down with a devastating clothesline. Just as the 7 foot+ giant took control over Woods again, he high-fived Styles, which counted as an official tag, bringing Styles into the ring.

In the concluding moments of the match, it was very evident Styles wanted to tag Omos in but wasn’t getting the chance. He connected with a jawbreaker and Pele Kick to create some separation between himself and Kingston. However, the latter was smarter and tagged in Woods.
