From a hugger baby face to a bitter heel, Bayley has transformed a lot in the past years. In her stint portraying a negative character, she has proven to be an excellent heel. Over the years, she has had many rivalries with top female wrestlers in the promotion. But there is one person whose guts she absolutely hates.

The person is none other than Michael Cole. She has been bickering with the WWE commentator since the pandemic era of WWE. Finally, after three years of constant nagging and insulting Cole, she finally got her hands on him. This is what happened.

Bayley defeats Michael Cole in an impromptu match

WWE taped a pre-show segment before the 10/27 edition of SmackDown in front of an empty arena. During the segment, Bayley issued an open challenge for anyone to face her. Guess who accepted the challenge? It was Michael Cole. But hold your thoughts right there. It was not the ‘real Michael Cole’.

A few seconds after the former SmackDown Women’s Champion laid out her challenge, Cole’s music hit in the background. Kayla Braxton dressed up in Michael Cole’s wrestling attire over a fake muscle suit came out to the ring. During the impromptu match, Cole was providing commentary.

It only took a matter of seconds for Bayley to pin Michael Cole (Braxton) in the middle of the ring. The real Cole was laughing outside claiming that Braxton ruined his undefeated streak by losing to Bayley. The WWE Universe loves watching the former Raw Women’s Champion and Cole feud with each other.

Why does Bayley hate Michael Cole so much?

Heels usually feast off the energy from the crowd, working their promos and insulting the fans. But during the pandemic era, wrestlers performed in an empty arena, because of Covid-19 protocols. Performing in an empty arena is not easy as it is very difficult to build emotions during the match.

Bayley found a perfect solution for this. She started experimenting with something as she began laying insults on Cole’s commentary during her matches. It all started when the color commentator for the SmackDown brand heavily criticized Bayley’s 2019 heel turn. The WWE Grand Slam Champion took the opportunity to build a rivalry on it.

She doesn’t leave any stone unturned when insulting him on camera. From roasting him to leaking his private texts, she has done it all to express how much she hates Cole. Though, of course, all of this is just for kayfabe and entertainment purposes. Whether she actually has any resentment towards Cole remains to be seen.
