On account of ‘World Wish Day’, Dwayne Johnson tweeted out a video and a heartwarming message to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He revealed a lot about his connection to the organization in the past. He even linked the Make-A-Wish Foundation website for his viewers to support the American organization to help more kids fulfill their wishes.

Talking about his personal connection with the foundation, Johnson narrated the first wish that he granted. He said, “I granted my first wish in 1997, back when I was a rookie pro wrestler and there was a beautiful soul whose wish was to meet Rocky Maivia. Meeting me was their wish. That changed my life.

Even though Johnson wasn’t at the top of his game back then, he was the biggest star for this kid. At the time, as we know from behind-the-scenes, Maivia was so close to being kicked out of WWE. So for a person to get this kind of love from young fans is unprecedented that can never match success and fame.

Dwayne Johnson wouldn’t have experienced that life-changing meeting with the kid, if not for the WWE. The sports entertainment company is widely known for partnering with Make-A-Wish Foundation to fulfill the wishes of children who wanted to meet their favorite wrestlers. Through WWE’s partnership, John Cena even became a Guinness World Record holder for fulfilling more than 650 wishes.

But it’s not only the top stars like Dwayne Johnson or John Cena who fulfill these wishes. Even current superstars like Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair are a big part of WWE’s partnership with the foundation. Just like Johnson, during his early run in wrestling, many other superstars are also having their life-changing moments because of these kids who love to see their favorite wrestlers.
