Roman Reigns‘ high-voltage return hit the WWE Universe hard on a spectacular SummerSlam night. It was more ideal than the fans have ever visualized. The moment Jacob Fatu made Solo Sikoa a bit comfortable in his pursuit to slay Cody Rhodes and grab the title, The Big Dog stormed through the ring and took his former Right-Hand Man out with a pair of menacing Superman Punch and a spear. He had a brief stare-down with Cody Rhodes, reminding him of the inevitable title rematch before tagging off for the day.
While the segment swept most wrestling fans off their feet and set up a new business standard, Eric Bischoff finds a small discord in the flawless.

Agreeing to the notion, the WCW legend noted, ”Yeah, it’s on brand. It’s like the title of the event was created for their story. That’s another reason. But look, it worked hugely successfully. I am sure from a financial point of view we are going to be reading about WWE tends to make a habit of that on a monthly basis. But again, it’s always like God, what if they would have waited a little longer?”
The Head of the Table underwent a lot over the last few months. From shaking off his title to Cody Rhodes to receiving the bitterest betrayal in his career from the most loyal man of his family, the Tribal Chief was living a nightmare. But his string back was inevitable. Ever since the Bloodline started to fall out of place with the new mobs taking it over, the OG Roman Reigns fan started seeing a forcible retreat brewing under the cover.
They were more than right. After building months of suspense, Triple H unleashed the top card at the second-biggest PPV of the year. That said, Eric Bischoff felt they should have taken a bit longer than giving it away flat. Maybe some more build-up. More heat and more anticipation would do much justice to the angle. He saw the new Bloodline vs old Bloodline dynamic coming right ahead of the time during the Wargames 2023.

SmackDown delivered better after Roman Reigns’ surreal return
The SummerSlam fallout episode continued with the hangover, with Reigns being back in his boots and the result was overwhelming.
SmackDown recorded an audience of up to 2,269,000 and did a .64 rating among 18-49-year-olds. Both the parameters are on the higher side than the previous ones. The demo was up 6% and was almost better than every TV show. Reigns’ double attack on Sikoa hooked fans to their screen, which was pretty clear from the graph.

The overall audience also rose by 4% and was deemed SmackDown’s best show, so far, since July (before the Olympics). The numbers only indicated the business is on the right track and the money is loading. In conclusion, the premature return theory can only be interpreted as an ideological annotation.
