Social media sensation Logan Paul has made quite a name for himself during his short stint in the WWE. Paul made his debut in April 2021 and since then has been captivating fans with his athleticism and over-the-top maneuvers. Even at MITB, although he never won the match, he still enthralled fans with his high-rise moves.

And a similar show of athleticism is all set for SummerSlam with Paul taking on one of the most agile wrestlers in WWE, Ricochet. But on the same day as SummerSlam, his brother Jake Paul will be fighting Nate Diaz in Dallas. So Logan Paul made a request to Triple H to kick off SummerSlam so he could leave early to go and walk his brother Jake to the ring. While the higher powers of WWE have approved this, Paul is about to do something that might irk the WWE management.

Fans very well know that just like his brother Jake, Logan Paul dabbles between boxing and WWE. He has been in 2 bouts with YouTube Star KSI, one amateur, and one professional. And then he had an exhibition fight with legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr, which went the full eight rounds but no winner was announced.

But it seems like Paul might be getting ready for his fourth bout, which takes place in October. Misfits Boxing recently teased two of their main event matches, which gave hints to fans that Logan Paul will be part of the main event.

Before the last fight of Series 008, a promotion ‘Cross Image’ was displayed with one side having KSI’s bandana and ‘FURY’ written on the other. This going to show that Misfits 009 will witness the power-packed match between Tommy Fury and KSI. The other side of the cross had Dillon Danis’s leopard print and Logan Paul’s trademark yellow color. This clearly goes to indicate that Logan Paul would fight MMA fighter Dillon Danis. It’s still to be seen how WWE will react to Logan Paul fighting for another promotion while being actively signed by the WWE.

But this would not be the first time a WWE wrestler had left to fight for another combat sport.

Brock Lesnar left WWE to pursue a career in MMA

Lesnar had quite a successful WWE career being called ‘The Next Big Thing’ at the start. And also became the youngest WWE Champion ever in the history of WWE by winning the title at 25. But despite all this success, he parted ways with the WWE in 2004 citing burnout, injuries, and poor creative decisions.

This was followed by him joining the Japanese wrestling promotions, where he performed between 2005 to 2007. Then finally, he had his first MMA match at ‘Dynamite!! USA’ where he defeated Min-soo Kim to win his first official MMA match.

Later he joined UFC, where he lost his debut match against then-UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir. He went on to win the ‘UFC Heavyweight Championship’ by defeating Randy Couture at UFC 91. Lesnar then retired from MMA in 2011 following his diagnosis of diverticulitis.

Lesnar then made one special appearance at UFC 200, which was granted by the WWE as a ‘a one-off opportunity’. Later, Lesnar tested positive for a banned substance. Following this he had to pay a fine of $250,000 and also called it his second retirement from MMA. So maybe Triple H might allow Logan Paul’s match just like they granted Lesnar ‘a one-off opportunity’. What do you make of this news? Let us know in the comments section below.
