Finally, a ray of hope? WWE fans have been patiently waiting to hear something about Brock Lesnar‘s return and we may have a small clue now. A veteran in the wrestling world recently talked about the new look of the seven-time WWE Champion and how it may be connected to a potential comeback to the Stamford-based company. What did they share?

Well, remember how Lesnar’s new picture went viral? The pro wrestler looked lean and sported a new beard style. Now Dutch Mantell is of the opinion that something is cooking!

“I think if they put him at a hot angle, I mean red hot, and they would be, I think, hesitant to do that at this point. But I think with time, the more of it dissipates into the ether. So I think with time that he’ll never outrun it, but it will get less,” he shared on Story Time with Dutch Mantell on YouTube.

“And people do think differently about Brock Lesnar because of this. I do. Because he was involved in it.”

It looks like the wrestler and the promotion are testing the waters after the huge controversy that involved Lesnar. WWE had started distancing itself from Brock Lesnar after he was named in a lawsuit involving some of the high-management personalities of the WWE like Vince McMahon. Back then, both preferred to not comment on the situation.

However, the WWE eventually started bringing Brock Lesnar in references and promos. And so, fans have started speculating whether he is making a comeback soon. Things don’t end here, though.

Last month, when Triple H was asked about the wrestler’s return, the chief content officer did not rule out his comeback. “You’d have to ask Brock Lesnar that. Brock does his own thing… He’s up in Canada, watching his kids play hockey and enjoying life. If and when he decides that he would like to do something, we’d be open to the conversation, but we’ll see,” Triple H shared.

“Right now Brock is at home being Brock. We will see where that leads to from here. His status is the same as it has been before. Brock is not gone from WWE. He is just home being Brock.”

Now we do not know for sure whether he will make a comeback, but rumors have been swirling for months that the promotion has been making moves to get him back. If this turns out to be true, how will he be re-introduced?

Could Brock Lesnar return to dethrone another champion?

Out of all the things that he is infamous for, one achievement that Brock Lesnar wears in WWE is that he has dethroned several champions by destroying them. On Monday Night Raw 08/12, the NXT North American Champion was present. Although he wasn’t selected to appear on the main roster for the night, he was there for the Main Event online streaming before the evening show began.

Later on, he was seen standing ringside with the title sitting on his shoulder. Furthermore, after the show, WWE uploaded a promo in which Oba Femi challenged the entire roster. He also called out the main roster. Femi did this because he wanted a ‘real’ challenge and because things were becoming too easy for him.

However, the comments sent an invitation to a formidable foe; one that Oba Femi should be afraid of facing. Everyone under the post just did a fantasy booking together and claimed that Brock Lesnar was the perfect opponent for this dominant champion.

Moreover, they also believed that this may be foreshadowing his return to the promotion. Again, these are all speculations by fans. But seeing how Lesnar is a bit more visible in recent times, people can’t help but jump to conclusions.
