Dwayne Johnson is going through a rough time lately. Just a few days ago, he lost his ‘Uncle Sheiky’, The Iron Sheik who passed away at 81 on June 7. He and the rest of the pro wrestling world mourned for the loss of the true wrestling icon. ‘The Rock’ and Sheik shared a lot of history and were pretty close to each other.
On top of this saddening news, yet another blow hit Johnson. As per the latest reports, his new $15 million project suffered a tremendous loss this year.

The $60 million loss also resulted in cutting some jobs, Jabari Young of Forbes wrote in the article. Though Johnson and his ex-wife, plus XFL Chairwoman, Dany Garcia, had to suffer a major setback this year, they have high hopes that the next one will surely meet their targets.
Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia remain optimistic
Johnson and Garcia have set a revenue target of $100 million for the next XFL season. ESPN will help to bring in most of the money since it reportedly pays $20 million per season to broadcast the XFL games. While talking to Forbes, Garcia confessed she is certain that XFL will do better in future seasons.

She also envisions a future where XFL will be as successful as WWE is today. She said, “We’re extremely well-capitalized for the long term. This is our new WWE. The next massive live property.” Irrespective of profit or loss, the 2023 XFL season has left ‘The Brahma Bull’ happy and satisfied.
Johnson always wanted to become a footballer. However, certain circumstances prevented him from doing so. But now, he gets to see young prospects live their dream, which really fills his heart with tons of joy. The NFL has already signed 26 players from the XFL.
