Things went downhill for Jeff Hardy recently. Despite returning from his rehab, sober, and clean, Hardy was written off AEW TV for a while. As AEW starts its tour in Canada, Hardy was written off TV, because of his legal obligations.
His past history with the law would prevent him from entering the Maple Country. Instead, AEW thought it would be better to write him off TV, and not involve Hardy in any storyline. However, soon after the incident, his elder brother Matt Hardy came out and dropped an update on his brother’s situation.
What did Matt Hardy claim while speaking about his brother, Jeff Hardy?

Both Matt and Jeff Hardy have been inseparable from their very early days. Beginning their career as tag wrestlers, they would later venture out to have an equally successful singles career as well. However, Jeff Hardy’s addiction problems always got in his way.
Despite being clean currently, he is not allowed in Canada. And Matt Hardy dropped an update on his brother’s possible time out of action. He replied to a tweet from fellow AEW star Ethan Page, writing, “I’m not here to make your life miserable, I merely wish for you to be the best version of yourself. With Jeff being out for a couple of weeks, I’m depending on you to have my back.”

Jeff Hardy returned to AEW nearly a year after DUI arrest
Hardy returned to AEW in April for the first time after his arrest in Florida on a felony DUI charge in June last year. AEW suspended the star and made it clear he would only return after “successfully completing treatment and maintaining his sobriety.”
Earlier this year, Hardy entered a plea of no contest to the charges. He was subsequently sentenced to 38 days in jail (which was already served), two years of probation, $4,500 in court fees, a 10-year suspension of his driver’s license, a court-mandated school or DUI program, and community service.

As per reports, the wrestler was also fired from WWE for refusing rehab, years ago. Later, he joined TNA. But similar issues followed Hardy there as well. He went into rehab and after jumping ships between both promotions, he landed at AEW. But his difficulties were far from finished as he faced similar problems at AEW.
The Enigmatic Charisma, Jeff Hardy, tried to change his life around while in rehab once again. He stayed in the facility for nearly 170 days and became clean and sober. Now healthier than ever, Jeff Hardy looks forward to taking the wrestling world by storm once he returns.
During his return to in-ring action in April for AEW, when The Firm was attacking Matt Hardy, Isaiah Kassidy, and Hook, the former WWE Champion received a great ovation from the crowd to clear the ring.
