After Humiliating Him in London, John Cena and 33-Year-Old Star Set to Come Face to Face Next Week on SmackDown

SmackDown this past week delivered some solid moments. Despite not having The Bloodline as the central piece, it continues to create excitement. With John Cena added to the mix every week going forward, fans can’t wait to see what’s next in store for the megastar. Well, it seems like WWE has given some answers.

Now in a blockbuster announcement, John Cena is set to meet his former rival, the controversial superstar Grayson Waller, next week in a huge segment. 

John Cena about to meet Grayson Waller again?

Waller who has mocked and disrespected several legends and Hall of Famers in the past, once again made noise on SmackDown.

On the latest edition, the Aussie-born first interrupted LA Knight before introducing Austin Theory to the ring. The segment concluded with Knight taking a shot at both Theory and Waller and demanding some in-ring competition.

This led to a match between the former US Champion and Knight, with Waller sitting at ringside. While the match was extremely competitive and Knight managed to pick up the victory, something else grabbed viewers’ attention. According to Wrestle Ops, Cena is set to appear on the Grayson Waller Effect next week on SmackDown.

This is really fascinating news for fans as they can’t wait to see what transpires next week. But for Waller especially, this would be an opportunity to wipe off the embarrassment he faced the last time he was in the ring with Cena.

Cena puts Waller on the curb

At Money in the Bank 2023, Cena made a striking appearance, much to the delight of the fans in the O2 arena, in London.

With him being as passionate as ever, Cena hinted at a future WrestleMania event taking place in London, generating a massive pop from the crowd. As he was continuing his segment, Waller interrupted him. Prompting that WrestleMania should take place in Australia instead, the 33-year-old attacked Cena with a cheap shot.

Unfortunately for the former NXT star, the 16-time champion caught him with an Attitude Adjustment sending him crashing through the mat. This eventually led to Waller claiming that the 46-year-old denied him a rub.

With the two about to meet next week after their riveting segment at Money in the Bank, Waller would look to correct his mistakes and deliver a major statement.
