LA Knight made it no secret of who he has set his eyes on lately. After his provoking call out on SmackDown last week, the current United States Champion, Logan Paul, paid heed to what the Megastar had to say and fired back with a savage reply. Although a slight hiccup ensued in the form of a botch there.
Paul has been reigning as a champion for over 200 days now, inflicting jealousy on most of his SmackDown peers. Among all other potential contenders, Knight first got his hands on Paul’s business only to get trolled by the sensational YouTuber through a heavily sarcastic promo with an incorrect name tagged.

From being just an occasional mid-carder to a generational full-timer, The Maverick has come a long way in his short-lived wrestling career so far. A belt on his waist adds more weight to his glorious path. While Triple H has had his back start from the beginning, it’s without question and beyond that Paul earned his stripes by constantly improving his craft.
His sheer drive and talent made him even go after Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed Universal WWE Championship belt in a massive KOTR final in Saudi Arabia. While he predictably failed to add another feather to his cap, fortunately, his US championship was not on the line. Now, eyeing that title, LA Knight rushed to SmackDown GM Nick Aldis to demand a shot in Paul’s absence. Later in a post-show interview, Knight directly puts the 29-year-old on notice.
Paul didn’t assimilate it without shooting back. The social media sensation took to Twitter to post a cutting video clip that sounds like, ‘‘You want what I have, huh? Hahaha. That’s funny, brother. Here’s the thing: I don’t give a damn what you want. I don’t care. I’m chilling. I’m living my life as the champ. Went on a date tonight with my honey. She’s pregnant. I’ve got a whole life ahead of me, and that life doesn’t involve you. Hahaha.”
However, the most palpable thing is he wrongly tagged LA Knight in the video, possibly indicating his indifference towards his rival. Nevertheless, it was not the only botch that came in Knight’s way in the recent past.

Carmelo Hayes’ slip of the tongue involving LA Knight on SmackDown this week proves costly
NXT star Carmelo Hayes had a brief appearance on SmackDown 31/05. Hayes recently wrapped his NXT stint up after launching a vicious attack on Trick Williams. On the 2024 WWE draft night, he was enlisted into the blue brand. But the 29-year-old didn’t get the scope to bring his mojo into the division so far. Tonight, for the first time, he partook in a backstage segment with LA Knight but messed that up, too, in a clumsy slip of the tongue. Hayes confronted LA Knight to inquire why Logan Paul should face Knight instead of him. But what came out of his mouth was why Knight, not Paul.
Carmelo Hayes: “Why would LA wanna face you?”
LA Knight: “Well if I face myself then I’d be looking in the mirror.”
