One crucial prisoner swap has happened between the United States and Russia. The six-time WNBA-All Star was found guilty of trying to smuggle illegal narcotics into Russia. The exchange took place between a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, Brittney Griner, and a Russian arms dealer, Viktor Bout. Soon after her return, the former wrestler, Kevin Nash, took to the internet to welcome her.

However, not many seemed to like her comeback. Hence, people started trolling her and anyone who supported her homecoming. Most people were of the opinion that the US chose the wrong prisoner to retrieve from Russia. As people started mentioning an ex-marine who deserved more to get released.

Looking at all these negative responses to the release of a WNBA star, the WWE Hall of Famer got disgusted. He even got back to the trolls to present his views.

WWE legend backed Brittney Griner from trolls

In one news conference dated December 8th, United States President Joe Biden informed everyone of Griner’s release. He mentioned that she was on a plane and would be home within 24 hours. This piece of information might be the joyous moment in the life of Griner’s wife, but it wasn’t the same for everyone else.

After receiving this news, most people showed their anger on social media. They believed that the US could have made a better prisoner swap. Because as per them the ex-marine, Paul Whelan deserved to come back.

This argument pushed the 358-day WWF Champion to make a comment against the trolls. Therefore, he struck back to all the replies under his original tweet.

He said, “Some really f*cked up people and responses. The Marine wasn’t in the discussion. It was take an American home who has been a gold medalist or no one.”

His reply might have made things clear for the people who were arguing. His tweet clearly stated that the ex-marine was nowhere in the story, from start it was about the gold medalist.

Kevin Nash’s one more tweet to support his argument

One another addition made by Nash to support his side of the argument was a fact from Wikipedia. After everyone’s negative reaction to Brittney’s release, Nash read the Wikipedia page of Paul Whelan. Following this, he tweeted about Whelan’s citizenship in 3 countries and added his reaction to it.
