The season premiere of SmackDown opened with a long-awaited return of The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. Following the trend of the last few years, SmackDown was expected to have interesting segments, surprising returns, and many special appearances. But Triple H delivered more than just that by setting up fan favorite LA Knight against Roman Reigns.  

The two superstars squared off against each other last week. Though Knight was humbled during their fight, he managed to strike back soon after.

LA Knight takes his revenge on Roman Reigns within 24 hours

The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns is feared and acknowledged by everyone in the WWE as he is at the top of the food chain. Standing up to him as his next challenger is the fan favorite LA Knight. After months of waiting, The Megastar has finally received his first major push as he comes face to face against Roman Reigns.

A wrestling fan posted a clip on X on October 14th from Saturday Night’s Main Event. The clip featured The Megastar LA Knight delivering his finisher BFT to The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. The caption for the tweet read, “LA Knight drops the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, on his head with a devastating BFT!! October 14, 2023. Kansas City, MO. #YEAHRevolution #WWEKansasCity”

LA Knight took on Jimmy Uso on Saturday Night Main Event on October 14th when Solo Sikoa interfered in the match to hand Knight a win by DQ. Interestingly, Knight won a match against The Enforcer Solo Sikoa a night before on the SmackDown show’s main event.

While Roman Reigns ended the show with a vicious spear to Knight on Friday, Knight took his revenge by delivering BFT to Reigns this time around. Reigns thought about interfering as there were growing speculations of Knight threatening The Tribal Chief’s empire.

John Cena sets up LA Knight vs. Roman Reigns for fans

Last week’s SmackDown opened with John Cena being confronted by a returning Roman Reigns who was on a 2-months hiatus from the show. Cena has an ongoing feud with Solo Sikoa. He clarified to Reigns that he does not want to intervene in Reigns’ path but knows someone who probably would.

It led to the introduction of LA Knight who did not hesitate to stand up to the Head of the Table. As Reigns was backed up by Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso attacked Knight from behind. It led to a commotion with Reigns leaving the ring to Knight and Cena.
